Emery County School District (Utah)

This series contains bonds issued for the purpose of raising money for building schools in the county. Some of the earlier bonds were issued by local district schools and then presumably taken over by the county school district after consolidation of the district schools in 1915.

This series contains books of bonds issued by the district to borrow money, typically for construction of schools in the county. The books contain coupons documenting payments on the bonds and the bonds that were given to the district once they had been paid off. The first book contains bonds issued by local schools districts, the payment of which was assumed by the county school district when the schools consolidated in 1915. Those bonds include ones issued by the Castle Dale, Cleveland, Desert Lake, Emery, and Green River High School districts and date between 1904 and 1911 The second book contains bonds from the Green River High School District, issued in 1910 and a large bond series issued by the county school district in 1916. In addition to these bonds, there are examples of later bonds issued by the school district in 1960, 1966, and 1978.
