This series includes memorabilia from various conventions and conferences, such as the National Governor's Conference meeting in Washington, D.C., in 1975, and the Western Governor's Conference meeting in Park City, Utah, in 1970. Records also include newspaper clippings from 1965 to 1986.

Custody History

Donated to the archives by Mrs. Macel Thurmond. Accessioned in December 1992. This series was moved from series 11567 on June 1, 2017, as that series was scheduled for destruction, however, upon reappraisal it was deemed of permanent historic value.

These records were acquired from the creating agency through established retention schedules.

Processing Information

This series was processed by Kira Robertson in February 2001., This series was re processed by Curt Kelley in June of 2017, due to a reappraisal.
