Abstract
This agency was created by passage of HB 134 by the 1971 legislature. The Department of Community Affairs was established in place of the Office of Local Affairs which was part of the governor's office. In 1979, the Department of Community Affairs was combined with a number of other agencies to create the Division of Community and Economic Development.
