Abstract
The Committee on Children and Youth was created by the legislature in 1961 in recognition of the desirablitity of having an permanent and continuing committee on children and youth. The committee cooperated with the White House conferences on children and youth. The law was repealed and the committee dissolved in 1969 with creation of the Dept. of Social Services.
