Abstract
The Utah Office of Energy Services at the Department of Community and Economic Development was transferred to the Utah Department of Natural Resources on 1 June 2001 and combined with the Utah Office of Energy and Resource Planning to become the Utah Energy Office. It managed federal grants for schools, hospitals, and similar organizations to improve their energy usage. It also ran audits of state buildings to determine energy usage.
