Pioneer Sesquicentennial Celebration Coordinating Council

The Utah Pioneer Sesquicentennial Council was created by the state legislature in 1994 to coordinate and promote programs, events, and activities to celebrate, from July 24, 1896-July 24, 1897, the pioneer sequicentennial of Utah's settlement by the Mormon pioneers belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
