Abstract

The Association serves Summit, Utah, and Wasatch County, Utah. Areas of emphasis include Informed Aging, Community & Economic Development, and Planning for Growth. Aging services are divided into three categories: everyday living, transition planning and community connections. Services include: Meals on Wheels, in-home programs & support, home weatherization, utility payment assistance, caregiver & dementia resources and education, aging options counseling, and volunteer opportunities. The Association administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs for Lehi City, Utah County and the State Small Cities program benefiting Summit and Wasatch Counties. It is also the regional transportation planning group for urban Utah County organized as a Metropolitan Planning Organization for Utah County, and a Rural Planning Organization for Wasatch County. These organization types are formed to allow all transportation related decision makers a voice in the process to plan and fund regional transportation projects.
