Abstract

The Twenty-second Utah State Legislature in 1937 appropriated $37,500 for Utah to participate in the New York World's Fair of 1939, which observed the 150th anniversary of the Constitution of the United States as well as the inauguration of George Washington as first president of the U.S. in New York City. Numerous individuals were appointed to the Commission on February 15, 1938.

Biography/History Notes

The commission prepared and installed an exhibit at the fair which opened April 30, 1939, and closed on October 27, 1940.

Mr. E. O. Howard served as Chairman; Governor Blood was made honorary chairman.
