Abstract

The Office of Asian Affairs was created in 1983 by executive order of Governor Scott M. Matheson to assist the Governor's Asian American Advisory Council in serving the State of Utah. Its function was to assist and represent Asian communities within the state to set goals and policies which will bring about a higher quality of life for the Asian-Americans of Utah. The entity continued until 2013.
