Abstract
Comprehensive Health Planning was created by Executive Order within the department to insure close coordination of health planning activities among the various divisions and to develop a statewide comprehensive health plan.
Biography/History Notes
Upon creation, Comprehensive Health Planning was placed under the administrative jurisdiction of the executive director of the Department of Health and Welfare (later known as Social Services). A 52-member advisory council was appointed by the governor to provide advice and counsel.
