Abstract
This Advisory Council was created by Governor Rampton to have a body to advise him and state agencies concerning the needs and problems of local governments and to determine how the role of state government can become more relevant in support of local governments.

Consisted of various mayors and county commissioners and designated members of the State Planning Coordinator's office, the Utah Association of Counties, and the Utah Municipal League.
