Abstract
Charter School legislation was signed into law on March 20, 1998. The State Charter School Board was created in the 2004 General Session. The mission of the Utah State Board of Education is to: provide leadership, vision, and advocacy so that all students have educational opportunities to meet their potential and achieve competency.
