The Board facilitates the procurement of goods and services from community rehabilitation programs by: identifying goods and services currently available from community rehabilitation programs; approving prices for goods and services; developing, maintaining, and approving a preferred procurement contract list; and reviewing, awarding, and renewing bids received by a community rehabilitation program for specified contracts for the purchase of goods and services. The Board designates a central not-for-profit association, appoints its members, and establishes guidelines for its duties; and requires each public procurement unit to purchase goods and services produced by a community rehabilitation program.
