Alta (Utah)

The Town of Alta is a political subdivision of the State of Utah and provides the following functions: Public Administration, Planning, Zoning, Police Services, Fire Protection under contract, Building Inspection, Street Improvements, Parks, Judicial Court, Sewer Department, and Culinary Water System.

The Town has a five-member Town Council where the Mayor is a regular and voting member. The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the Town of Alta to whom all employees of the Town report.
