Abstract
The Section tests and evaluates each material that is used in and on Utah's highways. The materials unit is responsible for the design of materials, pavements, and slope stability, as well as inspection of materials before construction begins. It also analyzes newly developed ideas and technologies for effectiveness and appropiateness for use on Utah's highways.
