Abstract

The division of Central Services, later renamed General Services was created in 1981 (Laws of Utah, ch 257) to maintain a central mailing service, a central motor pool and a central store for all state departments and agencies. It was abolished in 1997 (SB 249) when the store and mailing services were moved into the reorganized Division of Purchasing and General Services and a Division of Fleet and Surplus Services was created for motorpool and surplus property.
