Summary of Records
Scope and Content
The Paragonah sexton created a register of persons who were buried in the Paragonah cemetery. This register begins with a map of the cemetery which identifies the owner of each plot. The general map is followed by maps for each plot, which indicate who was buried in the plot and in what position. Each map is accompanied by a list of information pertaining to the persons buried therein, including full name, birth date and place, names of mother and father, death date and place, burial date, and name of spouse.
Arrangement
Paragonah interment register begins with a general map of the Paragonah cemetery. Thereafter, the register presents maps of individual cemetery plots beginning with the northeast corner of the cemetery and working east to west. The next row is presented west to east and so forth. If the sexton had not added additional plots in space left between the original plots, then the maps would be in numerical order.

The Paragonah interment register was microfilmed at Southern Utah University under the direction of Utah State Archives in June 2001 and processed by Rosemary Cundiff in August 2001.
