Summary of Records

The Office of Health Data Anaylsis maintains a database to which all Utah licensed hospitals report information on inpatient discharges on a quarterly basis. This yearly report presents this data addressing 1) the volume and intensity of inpatient health care, 2) the differences in inpatient services, and 3) the differences in patient demographics and complexity among hospitals. The report is designed to be a tool for analysis of health care issues, and includes a wide range of data for applications by many user groups, including consumers, employers, payers, policy-makers and providers.

Scope and Content

The Office of Health Data maintains a database to which all Utah licensed hospitals report information on inpatient discharges on a quarterly basis.
