Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains the cover and contents of a scrapbook created for Governor Rampton by the Salt Lake Sertoma Club (a volunteer civic service organization) on the occasion of Rampton's "Patriot's Day Address" at the Salt Lake Tabernacle on February 22, 1967. This series includes the text and photographs of Rampton's "Patriot's Day Address" and newspaper clippings covering the speech. This series also contains copies of the award-winning freedom essays and speeches written by junior high school students on the subject of "The Law - Servant and Master", as well as photographs of those students. Rampton issued a declaration proclaiming February 19-25, 1967 as "Freedom Week", February 19, 1967 as "Freedom Sunday", and February 22, 1967 as "Patriot's Day" in Utah.
