September ARMA Chapter Meeting at Archives
The Utah State Archives will host ARMA Utah – Salt Lake Chapter’s first meeting after the summer break on Thursday, September 15, 2011. The chapter meeting will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the Archives’ courtyard training room located on the first floor of the Utah State Archives Building (346 South Rio Grande Street, SLC). Mindy Spring and Joshua Bullough will present on “Records Access and Democracy.” Their presentation will begin by tracing the ideological and historical roots of records access. The presentation will then briefly review GRAMA, one of Utah’s records management laws recently in the national news; and finish by assessing how state agencies measure up in providing access to records as well as addressing often difficult transparency issues.
If you would like to attend please RSVP to Tracy Hansen at [email protected] by Monday, September 12 at 5:00 PM.
Lunch will be provided free to chapter members and those attending for the first time. Lunch is available for non-chapter members for $5.00 per person.
