Meet the Spring 2023 Interns
Spring semester has started and we’re excited to be welcoming a new group of interns! After a competitive application and interview process, we look forward to working with Brittany and Macy over the next few months. Learn more about each of them:
Brittany Harden is currently working on a Master of Library and Information Science degree at San Jose State University. She’s interested in data storage and records retention, which makes her a perfect fit as the Records Retention and Appraisal Intern! In this role, Brittany will work with our Local Government team to appraise the informational value of records being created today in city government. Brittany currently lives in California, and will be working remotely, although she hopes to visit in person when she gets a chance.
Macy Waite is a student at the University of North Texas at Denton and will be graduating in May with a Master’s in Library Science. She’s interested in reference librarianship and working directly with the public, so we’re thrilled she accepted the position of Reference Intern! In this role, Macy will be working with our Reference & Access Program Manager to learn how to locate records in our collection and provide excellent customer service through direct contact with patrons.
