School is back in session and we’re excited to welcome a new cohort of talented interns to the Utah State Archives! Learn more about them, and the exciting projects they will be undertaking this semester, below:

Andrew Smith is a recent graduate who enjoys art, history, web design, and user experience. He’s especially interested in learning more about what makes Utah work—from its people and communities to the systems that support them. He finds it meaningful to see how records and archives help keep history alive and provide useful information to the public. He’s excited to keep learning and hopes to give back by helping others connect with the resources they need during his internship working on the USHRAB website.

Zion Robertson is a senior at Utah Valley University, where she is completing a Bachelor of Arts in History. She plans to continue her studies by pursuing a Master of Archives or Library Science and earning certificates in genealogy. Passionate about helping others access information, she is eager to be gaining hands-on experience with archival processing during her internship. Her academic interests focus on religious history, especially the Abrahamic traditions and the disputes over holy places in Jerusalem—the subject of her senior thesis.

Hannah Worden-Cloudt is a senior at the University of Utah completing a Bachelor of Arts in History. Following graduation, she intends to pursue a Master of Library Science. She is passionate about organizing information and connecting people with the resources they need. During her internship with the Records Accessioning team, Hannah is applying her skills to increase access to historical materials.
