"A state office of rehabilitation operates under the general direction of the State Board of Vocational Education. This office is responsible for vocational rehabilitation and independent living rehabilitation programs for handicapped individuals. The purpose of the office is to assist persons with handicaps, as far as reasonably possible, to take their place in society as independent and self-supporting individuals. Operating within the state office of rehabilitation are a division of rehabilitation services, a division of services for the visually handicapped, a division of services to the hearing impaired, and a division of disability determination services." "The Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (USOR) offers a variety of programs to provide individuals with disabilities opportunities for independence and employment." "The Utah State Office of Rehabilitation operates with four divisions which are the Division of Disability Determination Services (DDS), Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DSDHH), the Division of Services to the Blind and Visually Handicapped (DSBVI), and the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS).?USOR services are offered statewide through 30 offices and other community settings."
