Davis County (Utah). County Surveyor
Abstract
Biography/History Notes
"The county surveyor must be a registered land surveyor. In counties where there is no elected surveyor or where the office is consolidated with another elected office, the county may contract with a registered land surveyor to do all surveying work for the county. Duties of the county surveyor include making land surveys ordered by the county commission or by the district court. Work of this office includes surveying for county roads, locating section corners, and preparing maps for the county and for county offices. The county commission may direct the county surveyor to perform engineering and architectural work if the surveyor and/or his staff are qualified and licensed to provide such services."
