The Daggett County School district was created on 24 January 1918. Until the creation of Daggett County on 7 January 1918, the area had been part of Uintah County, whose schools had consolidated in 1914.

Until the creation of Daggett County on 7 January 1918, the area had been part of Uintah County, whose schools had consolidated in 1914.

Daggett County School District provides public education for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Daggett School District is located in Daggett County Utah, bordering on Wyoming to the north and Colorado to the east. District offices are located in Manila, Utah. Daggett County has the smallest population (fewer than 900) in Utah, and the school district is likewise the smallest in the state. Approximately 150 students attend Daggett County School District's three schools, two elementary and one secondary. The district's three schools include Manila Elementary (grades K-6), Flaming Gorge Elementary (grades K-5), and Manila Jr-Sr. (grades 7-12) High School. These schools also serve students from McKinnon and Washam Wyoming, areas which lie just north of the state line.
