Grand County (Utah). County Treasurer

The Treasurer ensures responsible stewardship of public funds and provides effective fiduciary management for Grand County and all Grand County taxing entities. Duties include Bill and collect Real Property Taxes; Disburse taxes to Taxing Entities, such as Grand County Schools, Moab Valley Fire, Grand County Cemetery and Castle Valley Town; Process refunds of overpaid property taxes and appealed valuations; Publish a listing of delinquent taxes and notifying all delinquent taxpayers on an annual basis; Custodian of all county funds; Serve as investment officer of the County, handling all monies collected through the Clerk-Auditor, Assessor, Recorder, Justice Court, and other departments in the County; Accept and process applications for tax exemptions and abatements that benefit individuals including the blind, disabled veterans, low income elderly and others.
