Summary of Records

These volumes are certified copies acknowledging the filing of amendments with the Secretary of State.

Scope and Content

Under the law (Laws of Utah, ch. 87 sec. 2273, 1896), corporations could amend their articles of incorporation by voting to do so at a shareholders meeting, filing the amendment with the same office where the initial articles of incorporation had been filed, and passing a certified copy to the Secretary of State.
These volumes are certified copies acknowledging the filing of amendments with the Secretary of State. The forms, signed and dated by the Secretary of State, declare that the Secretary has received a certificate from the county clerk of the appropriate county noting the amendment of the articles of incorporation. The particulars of the amendment, in full, are typed in.
