Earlier this month, the Utah State Historical Records Advisory Board (USHRAB) met to review applications for 2023-2024 grant funding. Thanks to the newly implemented draft period, the Board received polished and engaging applications. With roughly $29,000 to give, the Board received requests for well over $40,000! The Utah State Archives and Records Service in cooperation with the Utah State Historical Records Advisory Board has grant funding available to non-profit cultural heritage organizations and local governments for historical records preservation projects. Funding can be used to help Utah repositories preserve at-risk, historic records and to provide access to important collections. These grants are intended for short-term projects.

Historical records preservation projects might include purchasing archival
