Births: Reports to Registers

The State of Utah began issuing birth certificates in 1905. Before the law was passed, local government offices used different methods to record the vital records of births and deaths in their community. In 1898, birth and death registrations were  done within the offices of county clerks across the state. For births, physicians and midwives reported the births they attended

Newly Processed: March 2016

All public records at the Utah State Archives are accessible through the Research Center. However, once processed the records are easier to use with proper storage and fuller descriptions, including online series inventories. The following list includes record series that were processed during the month of March 2016: District Court (Eighth District : Uintah County) Civil registers of action, 1909-1990.
