Three months ago we highlighted the COSA-Preservica training sessions that were coming in the new year. The Council of State Archives (CoSA) and Preservica have come together to provide training webinars for managers, information officers, and records officers.

Now they have finally arrived!!!

This month begins the 3-part series about Digital Preservation, focused on the needs and concerns of state government records officers:

Digital Preservation 101: State Archives and Agencies Putting Digital Preservation into Action

On Tuesday, February 14 (12 pm) Part 1 of the series will kick things off with Practical Training in Key Concepts

Parts 1 and 2 will provide practical training in the key concepts and processes of managing and preserving e-records throughout the records management lifecycle, and will furnish an overview of current best practices and real-world examples for organizations seeking to preserve and provide access to their records.

Part 3 consists of real world case studies. Speakers will discuss how they have minimized risk, lowered costs, and protected records that have long-term value by implementing new strategies and working with others in their organizations and the state archives.

Register for each webinar by visiting the registration page for that webinar (using the links below). Once on the registration page, click on the “Register” link next to Event Status, close to the top of the page:
