A Day of Sunshine
Welcome to the inaugural Open Government Conference!

The Utah Division of Archives and Records Service is excited to announce “A Day of Sunshine.” Come and learn why transparency matters and how to work together for a better open government.
Our guest speakers include:
- John Dougall, State Auditor
- Joel Campbell, Associate Professor of Journalism
- Charles Stormont, Attorney, Utah Transit Authority
- Patricia Smith-Mansfield, retired Director of the Division of the State Archives and Records Service
- and many others.
Topics range from discussion on the importance of transparency to providing advice on how to adopt “Sunshine” standards and forming lasting partnerships and trust between the government and the public.
Our panel will also highlight the importance of the government and the public working together to maintain and request records.
Cost: This event is free and available for in person or online participation.

Location: The conference will be held in an auditorium with stadium seating at the Miller Free Enterprise Center, 9750 S. 300 W. in Sandy, UT. Parking is available on the north side of the campus (Miller Campus Parking Map).
