Rebekkah Shaw joined the Utah State Archives in 2008 after graduating from Utah State University. She became a Records and Information Management Specialist in February 2013 as the project leader in updating general retention schedules.
Heidi Steed is the local government RIM Specialist and has been with the Utah State Archives since 2017. Heidi holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Utah and is finishing up her master’s degree in Public Administration at the University of Utah, where she studies Local Government Administration.

Archives vs Records Center

Renée Wilson will highlight the differences between the State Records Center and the Utah State Archives and will give a virtual tour of both.
Renée Wilson is the State Agency RIM Specialist. Renée has worked for the Utah State Archives for over five years and has been a RIM specialist for two of those years. Renée has a bachelor’s degree in music performance, with a minor in English, from BYU and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Rutgers. Renée enjoys all things digital, especially the challenge of providing user-friendly content for complex subjects (like Records and Information Management!). Renée loves weeding, playing the French horn and organ, and swimming.

Conversation about GRAMA Requests and the Open Records Portal

Rosemary and Dylan will have a conversation about GRAMA requests and the Open Records Portal.
Rosemary is the government records ombudsman at the Utah State Archives. Rosemary has worked for the Utah State Archives for over 18 years and has been the ombudsman for seven years. Rosemary has a master’s degree in history from the University of Delaware.
Dylan Mace has been the Open Records Portal Administrator at the Utah State Archives since 2017. Previously, he worked in General Education at the University of Utah. Dylan has a master’s degree in Environmental Humanities and bachelor’s degrees in History and Anthropology. He believes that open and transparent government is important for representative democracy, public liberties, and a healthy economy.
