If your entity has record series documented in State Archives’ system, you can find them by going to archives.utah.gov/rc-list* and searching for your entity.
*Archives main page > Records and Information Management > Retention Schedules > Lookup by Agency

Select your entity from the list to see the record series information that has been reported to State Archives.

If you already know the series number, you can look up a record series from most pages on our website by using the search: enter the series number in the search field, and change the “Search Type” dropdown to “Series Number Search”. You’ll see an overview of the record series, and you can click the link to view the full record series data.

Local government entities’ record series are most likely documented in resolutions, ordinances, or code.

To find other record series by agency type (such as judicial, legislative, and education), visit https://archives.utah.gov/records/retention-schedules/agency-specific-retention-schedules/.

To view all record series for your agency as well as sub-units, follow the instructions at https://archives.utah.gov/knowledge-base/how-do-i-see-all-the-record-series-for-my-entity-and-all-its-sub-units-in-one-place/.
